Exam Invigilatiors

We still require Volunteer Exam Invigilators from the Sunshine Coast region or Australians from other regions with the means to travel and stay in the area.

All volunteers must have a valid QLD Blue Card or be prepared to obtain one prior to IMO 2025. Due to this requirement, we can only accept applications from Australian volunteers after 10 May 2025.

Exam Supervisors (Invigilators) are required to ensure the safe and secure sitting of the IMO exam (4.5 hrs each day for 2 days).

The main responsibilities of an Invigilator are to:

  • Provide operational assistance to ensure students are registered and seated in the correct location in the Exam Centre
  • Supervise the exam and maintain the integrity of the IMO
  • Render assistance where required (transferring student questions to the scanning officers, supplying additional paper, accompanying students requiring the bathroom)
  • Scan exam papers into the official IMO 2025 data management system

This role will require a commitment to attend and participate in:

  • Online training (up to 2 hrs) in June 2025
  • Onsite induction at Novotel Sunshine Coast on Monday 14 July 2025 from 11am-5pm
  • Exam Invigilation on Tuesday 15 July 2025 and Wednesday 16 July 2025 from 7am-3pm

Invigilators are often academics, school teachers or students. A key requirement of this role is a commitment to the integrity of and upholding the IMO rules.
